Job Description

Imagine yourself

* Collaborating with other staff members and/or physicians to develop, test, and implement effective data collection processes using critical care databases to provide information on clinically significant measures/indicators

* Performing accurate review of department's most complex clinical records to secure data for ongoing performance improvement and /or care management/quality initiatives. Abstracting data directly into computer or forwards for appropriate data entry

General Qualifications

*Knowledge of allied health profession, equivalent to that which would be acquired by completing a regionally accredited bachelor's degree program

*Knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform this job are typically acquired through three years of progressively responsible experience in a health care setting in medical records, in-patient care, or quality management and a minimum of one year demonstrable experience working with computers and windows base software, particularly word processing, spreadsheet, graphics and relational database applications such as TSI and Apache

*Appropriate Licensure or Certification


Desired Qualifications

Familiar with Statistical Process Control;

Expertise in advanced Excel applications
