Job Description

Do you have a passion for serving the community? Are you looking for a rewarding career that provides you with flexibility and the opportunity to make a difference? Consider joining the Aurora Visiting Nurse Association team that is providing coverage for the XXXXXX area. Imagine yourself

*Gathering supplies, and completing the appropriate paperwork that occurs with the preparation of prescription medications.
*Preparing prescription medications orders using accurate and current procedures. These products may include but are not limited to, IV antibiotics, IV hydration solutions, analgesics, TPN, non-compounded or compounded immune response modifiers and flushing orders.
*Maintaining defined inventory levels of pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, and DME as directed by the Pharmacist. Monitors and updates DME inventory level.
*Inspecting and maintaining the pharmacy areas daily and documents the quality assurance checklist. Inspecting and monitoring the pharmacy monthly, for segregation of products and outdated products.
*Consistently reviewing the product recall information found on invoice and weekly reviews the recall information on FDA Bulletin Board. Recalled products must be accurately accounted for and reported to the pharmacist.



Skills / Requirements
General Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of one year experince in preparing intravenous medications.

Accurate data entry capabilities.
