Assistant for Office Collections
- Our fast paced medical office is looking for an assertive individual that can deal with collections and insurance company communications. This is an office assistant position and the job includes dealing with customer collections, working with customers to set up payment plans, and dealing with insurance companies to ensure authorization of payment. Hours will range between 20-24 hours per week between the times of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with some flexibility in your schedule. During the first couple of weeks, the training period may include more full time hours. Dress is business casual. This is a Try Before Hire position with the possibility of hire once the probationary period is fulfilled. There is also an opportunity for growth within the company to fulfill other office clerical duties once trained and comfortable with collections and insurance company communications. Wage is between $10.00 to $12.00 per hour depending on experience. AA/EOE Job Duties: Must have a strong background in computer applications along with customer service skills. Having prior collections experience and a background in health care is a definite plus. You must be able to work in a team environment but also have the ability to work on your own to get the job done. This position offers your own office and ability to set up your hours.
